Shipping & Collection Policy
Every Pencil & Oak piece can be collected free from one of our stores or pickup points, or delivered by our two-person team.

Choose your store at checkout and we'll let you know when your order is ready.

If you arrange your own courier from the store, booking it, paying for it and the goods once collected are your responsibility.

Standard delivery is a basic two-person service within a 100 km radius of the store you ordered from, Monday to Friday. All delivery fees are paid C.O.D. before offloading. For addresses further than 100 km, please contact us.
Lead times
- In-stock pieces: usually dispatched within 5-10 working days.
- Made-to-order pieces: 6-8 weeks from the date your 50% deposit clears.
Orders combining both are sent together on the longer timeline.
We'll contact you if anything delays your order. Delays outside our control, such as weather or transport disruptions, can't always be avoided.
Before delivery day
- Measure doorways, staircases, passages and lifts so your piece fits through.
- Tell us in advance about stairs above the third floor, narrow access, or anything that needs hoisting or removing a door or window; extra charges may apply.
- Clear the route, move fragile items and keep children and pets safely away.
Please accept delivery within 14 days of being told your order is ready. After that, storage is charged at 1% of the order value per week. Orders not collected or accepted within 2 months may be cancelled, with the deposit forfeited plus a R 500 admin fee and storage costs.
If we can't deliver because no one is home or the access details were wrong, a re-delivery fee applies.
When your order arrives
Check every piece before signing. Your signature confirms it arrived complete and undamaged. If something is damaged, note it on the delivery note, take photos and contact your store or info@pencilandoak.co.za straight away (within 48 hours at the latest).
